Ok, I have a 2001 Toyota Tacoma Dbl Cab V6 TRD. I know the max towing capasity is 5000 Lbs. What limits that? If I got leafsprings, Supercharger, Big a$$ tranny cooler, URD kit, upgrade the breaks, would this increase the towing capasity? Reason being I want to get a small toy hauler and loaded weight is 7400, yes I know that is more than my truck, or Am I limited because the truck weighs so little?

You're limited because of:

• frame strength
• truck weight
• braking

You'll get thrown around like a ragdoll with that much weight, and will be a danger on the road.

look at the American freedom trailers. They make an awsome 14' toy box with a complete bathroom and it only weighs 2000 lbs dry. It is perfect to tow and can carry 4 dirt bikes and gear.
