I'm looking at a used 2000 x-cab 4wd with 145k miles for $6900. Owner claims it to be in the great condition.

Are there any problems with the Tundras that I should know about? What are some areas on the truck that I should look at more closely?

For those of you that are towing your wheeler with your Tundra. How does it handle a heavy load, such as a full car trailer and full weight SAS'd 4Runner? What kind of fuel mileage are you getting? Did you have any problems with the trans, over heating, slipping? I know I'll have to beef up the rear springs to handle to extra load. I'll be towing a 91 4door SAS'd 4Runner.

Thanks

Main issues are bad tranny (specifically, the OD gear), brakes - shudder when pressing on the brakes and bad quality exhaust manifolds - tend to crack at the flange seem.
