Hi,

The oil in my 5 spd manual transmision of my truck is due and I am going to replace it with Red Line MT-90 oil. I was wondering if this oil is good for the transfer case too? or is it for manual transmissions "only"?
By the way my truck is a 99 4X4 5 spd V6.
Thanks in advance. :D

75-90 for all components under there. Front& rear diffs, trans, transfer case. About 8 Qts to do the whole lot.

The Red Line MT-90 shows the weight as 75-90 but it also shows the "MT" which I assume stands for Manual Transmision?
What I am not sure is if I use it on my transfer case will destroy or benefit it?

Thanks, :D

- I use the same stuff in my X-Case as I do in my tranny (MT-90)
- My bro & I both have been using this stuff for the past 3 years w/o prob

I use redline 75-90 synth gear oil in my F & R diffs

What kind of performance did you notice when you change to MT-90?

Thanks for the feed back. :D

I used the MT-90 in the Tranny and redline 75-90 in the xfer, front and rear.

Seriously, this rain is getting rediculous.
I saw an old man today, in HB... he was building a boat, and animals were lining up 2x2 to get onboard...... I have had it. I am going to Baja this weekend. If you like to fish, dive, camp, etc. I am going to Gonzaga or San Fransisquito.

Well, finally even with the rain I decided to change the oil.
I changed the front and rear differentials with Mobil Syn 75-90 (I purchased it about 2 months ago) The tranny and X-case I used Red Line MT90.
"What a difference" :D The shifting is a lot more smooth than when I had Mobil 75-90. I am sold with Red Line MT-90 :)

Thank you guys for your advise. ;)

Hey you stupid waste of space. Maybe try reading the original post next time? How did your post in any way answer his question??? Have you ever run MT-90 in your truck? No? Then :stfu: :flipoff3:
