98 tacoma, 3.4 v6, manual trans with auto hubs.

......My input shaft for the front driveshaft is leaking at the seal. I cant figure out how to remove the yoke without dissassembling the transfer case.

The seal is only 11 bucks, it looks like a major PITA to get apart.

Anyone replaced this? How do i get to it?

- Remove front drive shaft from Transfer case.
- Drain the oil from case.
- Use a pry bar between the flange studs to keep the out put shaft from turning
while breaking loose the flange nut.
- Use a gear puller to remove flange from shaft.
- Pry out old seal ( be careful not to damage the seal housing)
- Install new seal by gently and evenly tapping into seal housing
Note: Apply a small amount of gear lube to rubber portion of seal and a small
amount of sealant around the seal housing before tapping the seal assembly
in.
- Install flange with NEW lock nut and torque to 87 ft·lbf
- Install drive shaft and fill transfer case with lube.
