transmission dip stick?

Just bought my 05 black d-cab trd sport tacoma. Had a tundra before this truck. The tundra had a dip stick to check the trans. fluid, but I can't find one in the tacama. Didn't even see it in the owners manunal. Does anyone know if I'm just not finding it, or does it not have one. If it doesn't, WHY??
Thanks.

Look close to the firewall, it might be incognito. Or in the front out of sight with a dark dipstick handle. I can't imagine that there isn't one, that is a basic service that needs to be checked at a regular interval by the owner.

I remember hearing it is a sealed tranny meaning no dip stick. No need to check them.

Thats what I heard as well, it is supposed to be a lifetime fluid or something like that.

Yep, no dipstick, no way to check the fluid or add more on the 05s!! Kinda scary.
Do a search, someone posted a few weeks back about their 05 Tacoma tranny and the lack of a dipstick. I believe he had to go to the dealer because he had let some tranny fluid out trying to find out how to check the level.
