so last night i attempted to install the downey locker cable conv. figuring that the actuator was shot, i take it off, now it seems as though the shifting fork is jammed and will not lock, no matter how hard i push the cable, i drove it for like 10 min i dirt parking lot, thing would even budge ....any thoughts?

i hate to give you bad news but the day i installed mine was the first day i wanted to get rid of it. mine was so bad i got to the point where i kept it in my bed and when i wanted to lock it i would fish it out and have a friend push on it while i crawled. i lubed the fuck out of it. i basiaclly dumped a oil down the cable and on the unit on the diff to get it to work.


i sold it on ebay, i didnt have the heart to sell it on here

well the thing that baffled me was i was only able to move the fork only 1/4" when the whole assembly was off, i had someone push the truck a little seemed to me that it should move more than 1/4", i dunno, im regearing next month, maybe ill be able to figure it out then
