It's doable without lock ring pliers but it takes a bit of patience. I used large snap ring pliers, flat heads, needle nose and linesman pliers. Don't remember what worked, but did both cv's , ball joints, etc. then found the lock ring pliers...
I thought about that, but wasn't sure if the screw sticking up would get in the way of anything. I will probably go pick up some hose clamps to use on my spare CV's. Thanks.LavosTRD said:or u can just use a large hose clamp
