Although not the preferred way to lift a vehicle, I have a Bilstien assembly with a 1 inch spacer up top. I was doing the brakes last night and figured I would throw this other assembly on my truck while I was messing around with the front end. My old Tokico (with no spacer) popped right out, but I couldn't flex things enough to slide in the other assembly? What would need to be broke loose to pop this thing in? Or do I need to compress the spring to put it in? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Disco the sway bar, use a pry bar to pull the lower arm down enough to get the CO in.

As Mojave said, disconnect the sway bar. Once that is off, the LCA should drop low enough for you to get the assembly in. If that doesn't work, remove the 4 bolts on the lower ball joint. This will allow the LCA to be completely free to move. Once you have your shock in, use a jack to move the LCA back up to meet the spindle and get the bolts back in.
