I have a 99 tacoma extended cab SR5 4x4 with coil overs and chevy spring swap and want to go to a larger rim to get away from 15 inch rims. Ive heard 3rd gen rims will fit with no mods. What do ya'll think or have done?

Backspacing is usually a problem with the newer rims. You didn't say what size tires or rims you have now, so I can't give you a fair comparison, but you might have to run spacers on the new rims.

If that is the case, the newer rims should fit. Your tire will be closer to the knuckle and upper ball joint on the front, but should still clear. Always best to test fit if you can.
