Wanted to get an opinion of people that have these. I know a couple months back it was a love hate thing with them. So I am looking for an update on them since in March I will be buying my 33s. How many miles do you have on them and how many do you think you will get out of them? How hard were they to balance?

I purchased a set over a year ago. There real quite and smooth ridin. Walmart balanced mine with no prob. When there aired up hard...ex. 30psi or so...they are bumpy and dont get very good offroad traction. They drive almost like a car tire, i had mine up to 100+Mph many of times on the freeway.

For best offroad traction u need to air them down to about 18 front and about 12 or so in the rear. They have never let me down in the woods. Any hill, rock or mud bashing trail is no prob for these tires. Although they do have a lot of deep cuts on them?? No air leakege yet though.

They last very long, hell im trying to wear them out to get something a little more agressive , but they want freakin wear out!!!!!

Im going with a 33x10.50 bogger next....i want something loud.

i got some pics of them if u want to see them

pportera,

When the pictures that you sent me where taken how many miles can you guess they had on them? Also do you think that the people that had them and had problems: A: are far from the avg. Truxs M/T b: where getting the first tires off the line and Interco hadn't got them perfect c: didn't care for them (psi low/high, not rotated enough, not balanced enough to wear right)

These tires seem to get mixed reviews. Some people have experienced problems with tread seperation and balancing, whereas others love them. Tire care is major factor in my opinion to how the tire performs for you. I would certainly recommend this tire to anyone.

That being said, I keep my set rotated every olil change (~3K miles), and I keep them balanced (actually only needed to be balanced once since I bought them). I am approaching 10K on mine and they are wearing extremely well. If they continue this rate I will easily get over 40K out of them. I haven't had the balancing issues others have, but it did take a hell of a lot of weight to get it done. I think most tire places just half ass it in my opinion, so I had my friend balance them while I watched, and they are great. They ride great on the highway and are great offroad, especially in the snow.

Cons:
Heavy (these tires are beasts)
Could see some tire shops having trouble balancing these
2ply sidewall, however, Interco claims the sidewall is stronger than most 3-ply tires (The sidewalls appear much stronger than the 2-ply Mud Rovers)

In the end, you need to decide for yourself what will work best for you. I certainly will not bash other MTs as I've never owned any other than these, but this tire is definitly a performer, and I would recommend it.

If you need any pictures, let me know. All of them are when they were first put on.

Well here is the delima, I have wanted these for a while saw the bad reviews and then said no and went to BFG MTs. I saw a few days ago instead of being 33s they are 32.4s or so. Turned me off a bit plus they are a good 20 dollars more a tire that the Intercos. Being in college I don't have a ton of money and am spending an entire tax return on tires and then will have no money left per say. I know that Interco would replace them as seen in another thread but then my DD is out and I have no money left you see. I like the Intercos b/c they are plenty agressive and are sipped. Then again the BFGs are proven but expensive and not a true 33 according to tirerack.

Can you post the pics of email them to me please.

I recently offered up my opinion on these tires on the D-cab forum, here is a paste of my text from it.

I've been to Moab and back, wheeled on dry rocks, wet rocks, dry dirt, mud, SNOW , very rainy roads, just enough rain to bring up all the oil in the roads, ice, you name it, I've just about covered the spectrum in these tires........

I LOVE THEM!!!! They are SILENT smooooooooth, GRIP like a starving child does to a piece of bread in ALL the above conditions and are NOT wearing down fast at all.
I am getting ready to SAS my D-Cab next month and am gonna put on these same tires in a 37 if they are released in time. I have had BFG MT's, and they are a good tire, I've also had Yoko Mt's, those SUCK, I am a VERY HAPPY Trxs MT owner and as you can tell DO recommend them. My .02 , good luck with whatever you get."

last i checked the 33" BFG MT's measure 32.8.

Interco is just one of those rare companies that actually has "true" measuring tires.

and if you go with the TRxus mt's, get the 34x12.50's! ;) , c'mon be different! :D

im actually looking at these for my next set of tires

FYI, for what it's worth, if you are willing to wait, I think the new BFG M/Ts are due out in April. When they come out, the KMs will probably drop in price by $10-$15 per tire, making them more competitively priced with the Intercos. Of course, that's IF BFG does push the release date back.

Just wondering if you've had them in soft sand, and if so, how they performed. Thanks.

In river washes they have done great. I have not done dunes with them but based on how they've done in the river sand, would have to say they should perform well in sand dune type conditions.

I'm on 34x12.50's and have a 4 inches suspension and 2 inch body and they do rub at times when wheels are turned/stuffed etc just right.

More info on the "new BFG MT's?" I googled and found nothing.

So I looked the net for good hour looking at prices at almost every website I could find or think of and the cheapest I found was 169 for the 34s. Someone must know a cheaper place. Hard to believe that they would go up 30 bucks for 1", heck for the same price and some places cheaper I could get 35s.

I had about 10k on the in that pic....got about 20k on them now. The right rear is going balled, due to open diffs and heavy right foot. They still ride smooth and quite.

Ive never had any real probs out of mine. Other then one morning the bead keep leaking???

I didnt even know peaple were having probs out of these tires. I ordered them back when they were first brand new. One of them came with a crack right down the center of the tire, i never thought anything of it and the crack is still there, no prob though. If your going with a street m/t i would get the trxus no questions asked.
