Who's running the twin stick set-up?
Any complaints?
Which one is better, the Marlin or the Front Range?
What is the cost for the twin stick?
Are they available for an 01?
Are a lot of you guys having problems with the 4-wheel drive slipping out?

I would like to lock my front up too, and if I can do this beforehand and it is relatively inexpensive, I would like to go ahead and knock it out.

I think it sounds like a great idea.

Thanks

I have a twin stick, I love it and use it all the time.

I got mine from Marlin because I was buying some other stuff at the same time, but I imagine they are both great products.

Year shouldn't matter as long as you have a stick to start with and not some pushbutton crap.

Never had anything slip out. Sometimes when I'm on a high traction surface like Moab slickrock or Sierra granite, it gets bound up a little in 4wd and is difficult to get back into 2wd.

I think it's an awesome mod for the price.

Cool beans, How much did that set you back?
I don't recall how much I paid, sorry. I tend to not keep track of the money I spend on my hobby. :D

A quick check of either website should get you pricing. Last time I looked at Marlin's site it was completely up to date.

You say you use it all the time, could you e**plain some different situations that you have used it and the benefit of using it?
I have a lockright in the front. I'm sure you can see that while on high-traction surfaces it would be beneficial to have 2wd.

If you have manual hubs, it is nice to have. If you have add, it is unecessary. Just do the "two low mod" with the add.

So when your offroad and don't need 4x4, instead of throwing it in 4x4hi you just use 2wd low?
You want to use 2low on high traction areas that binds 4wd, but when you still need the low gears for control.

Ok, I feel ashamed for asking such a noob question, but I have yet to figure this one out. What exactly does a twin stick setup permit you to do? What does it achieve mechanically?
There are two shift rails in the t-case. One controls hi-low, the other controls 2wd-4wd. By installing a twin stick, you can independently control each rail.

You cannot do the 2 low mod with all ADD's. You have to have the push button "4wd" on the t-case shifter.
