If I add two or three more leaves to the rear ones I have now, to get added lift and flex, would I need to install longer U-bolts at the same time. If so, where can I get longer ones.

i think all you would need to do is take a measurment of how thick the leaves are and see how much you have to work with.

im kinda looking for a good local source for some new ubolts myself because i've got some that are too wide and they don't really "hug" my leaves.

I was thinking about it an think I should be ok since I am probably going to remove my overload leaf. If they are too short I guess I'll have to run down to the spring shop. Thanks

When I added my AAL, I had enough length on the stock u-bolts, but that was it. I was going to add a block and bought new u-bolts from my local 4x4 shop, but ended up not needing them. Most 4x4 shops will have new u-bolts in stock. The ones I bought were a Rancho Suspension product.

With my AAL I have a couple of threads left but I'm looking for some longer ones just to be safe. It would suck to go over a rock and leave your axle.

It would also suck to go over a rock and catch your longer U-bolts on rocks.

If you have two or more threads below the nut you'll be good, add some thread lock if your worried about loosening.

Go buy some new ones. You will have a hard time getting off the old ones with out breaking them.
