What size have you used when doing a u-bolt flip kit? Are they exactly 3" or are they 3 1/8" or what? Need to know because I am making my own and need to get the u-bolts.

it probably does not matter for two reasons. 1 - you can always cut them if they're too long and 2 - the u-bolt ends would point up anyway after the flip, so you can leave them long (if they're shorter than the bump-stops and aren't hitting anything as the spring is compressed).

but i don't know that for a fact since i haven't flipped mine.. this is just speculation.

Use a 3-1/8 because it has to reach around the 3" tube. We use a 9/16 x 3-1/8 x 7" Round bend in out flip kits.. the fit awsome, and the bolts are a little long for some rigs, but they are easy to cut off.
