i havea 95.5 taco, and am going to try to update to a newer style grille and headlights, off a 97. does anyone have any experience with this? if so what all is needed to do the switch? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks guys

97 is the same as a 95.5. If you want a different style than what you have research a 98-00 tacoma. I don't know if they interchange easily or not but if you want it to work bad enough I'm sure you could make it work.

well maybe its a 98 then, either way i already have the headlights and grille to do it with, just curious what other things i need

you might have to modify or change out your core support also, just to give you a heads up.

that will take quite a bit of work to do since the mounts are completely different so you'll have to replace a lot more than just the grill. They are not interchangable between generations.

If you want better lights in your gen 1 truck look into Hellas aftermarket 200mm.
