I have a 1998 TRD 4x4 with the 3.4 v6. During my SAS last June when I installed the IFS steering box I had a canister in the way in front of the driverside fenderwell. It looks to be some sort of vacuum canister with only one line going to it. Since I know these engines rely a lot on vacuum I decided to just relocate it to the passenger side fender behind the cruise control box. Now I would like to have that space to mount other stuff. Does anybody know what this canister is or what it does. Can I remove it and just plug the line. I thought about just removing it and seeing what happenned, but then decided to check on here first. Thanks

Just a thought but you might want to keep it just in case something happens or you could sell it to someone who needs it on here hehehe. Cause that's one problem that causes the "Check Engine" light to come on. Mine did and the dealer charged me little over $500.00 for parts and labor to change it out.
