just a reminder for everyone who do not have self-adjusting valve trains, dont forget to get your valves adjusted it will help with powerloss and breathability of your engines. its one of the most over looked things on your engines, i just did mine not to long ago and i can feel the difference in my engine. it also improved my gas mileage which is a big thing these days.
if you have too much valve lash, due to wear and tear of the valve train, will cause your valves to not open all the way and block air and fuel from entering the combustion chamber and block exhaust from exiting the combustion chamber
too little valve lash, ie. too tight of an adjustment, your valves will hang open causing your combustion to escape out and cause back fire through either your intake or most commonly your exhaust.
both of these can be causing loss of power and drivability issues

Always a good reminder. On Mercedes 124 diesel engines a valve adjustment is the number one "performance" mod you can do.
