My truck just started making this weird sound on decel at high speeds. I am lifted with OME 882s and leaves on 285s. Now when I decel from say 60mph or so the truck makes this humming sound and there is a faint vibration. Any ideas where to look? I have my carrier bearing spaced down about 1 inch if that helps.

U-joint going bad or rear bearing going bad.. Probably a u-joint... Also check to make sure all the drive shaft bolts are tight.

Yea I have the same problem, mine grinds at around 30 mph and I have my carrier bearing dropped. I replaced my left drive shaft with a cheap rebuilt one and I think the u joints are going bad but I don't want to fork out 300 bucks for a pair of new ones.

300 bucks for u joints or driveshafts?? you mean shafts right?? i just paid 9 bucks for a u joint for the front. that thing was a beotch to change. a guarenteed knuckle buster and pisser offer. good luck if you do change u joints. if that
