Hi all, after belonging to many other forums which I'll forgo naming here, TTORA seemed like it catered to my year and the 2.7 more specifically the most. Good info, relatively sane people...maybe, that might be a bit presumptuous. Anyways I'm in the Air Force stationed at Minot AFB ND. Whoo armpit of the midwest. Im a Guidance and Control specialist on the B-52 (I fix guages like engine instruments, ADI's, HSI's, Autopilot, SAS and a bunch of other acronyms). Married with one daughter. I'm originally from Northern California, I dont claim the southern half. I'm only interested in "Farmtana" and North. More specifically I'm from Colusa some may know where this is, most wont. Its easier for me to say by Chico, most everybody knows where that is. I'm a Farmer by trade though I guess. I grew up growing and harvesting rice Kalifornia's top export. Thats about it. Hope I dont stink up the place too bad. Umm, yeah.

Welcome to the board, Matt.

I'll second that bit about Minot being the arm pit of the US. I pulled a too long TDY there many years ago, mainly locating a bunch of those holes out in the surrounding prairie. I hated that place and would never go back there by choice. You'd have to drag me there bound in chains. Even the college girls in town were dipshits for the most part. I found not one single redeeming feature. You have my sympathy.

Ahh yeah the missiles. Bunch of losers there. They never go anywhere, just stuck out in the middle of nowhere, working their 9 to 5 jobs. Space Command blows anyways. Only marginally appealing thing here is the hunting, but still doesnt compare to California's waterfowl hunting. Oh well could be worse, thats what I always say.

Yeah well, I'm used to the solitude, I came from a town of 5,000 people, one stop light that went "off line" after 7pm and on weekends. Its the lack of umm anything here in ND. No hills, no trees, nothing to look at, I need atleast some substance. Like I said though could be worse, lots worse.

Absolutely nothing, as far as wheeling. Unless you love blasting through flat mud puddles, umm yeah no thanks. However there is one 4x4 club here, the name slips me right now, but they wheel in the south west part of the state where the badlands begin here in ND, its part of the Teddy Roosevelt state park. I have driven through it, and its the only place in the state that has some elevation and honest to goodness trails through some foothills, with rock areas. I've been wanting to check it out, but with a new baby, and my rig not prepared, its been on hold.

What? The occasional grain elevator rolling up on the horizon to break the monotony doesn't do it for you? LOL
