I have a 04 extended cab taco 4x4, non-trd, V6 with AT and I was wondering what gears I have. I'm thinking its 3.91, but someone told me it might be a 4.10.

You've likely got 4.10's since you're an AT. The non-trd, v6, 5sp's come with 3.91's.

There are some floating around, might try here, but instead of your VIN you use a code from your driver's side door, starts with B0...

Otherwise a call to the Toyota tech info line and your VIN and they can tell you for sure.

This has become probably one of the greatest irritations of most Tacoma owners. The code on your door panel may or may not be correct. While the chart at the TTORA-NE web site (and in the new FAQ) are helplful, it appears the ony true way to determine your grear ratio is to do as recommended in post # 4 - call the Toyota Tech Info line with your VIN.
