I am getting ready to purchase my master install kits front and rear (I already have the r&p's). What else will I need for a full install? My truck has 127k on it, basically what other parts can be replaced when doing the gears? I know I need a new pinion flange (TRD Rear), and will prob get new axel seals, but what about bearings and stuff like that. Or do these things come with the install kits? I want to replace everything I can.

I am not doing the work myself (I actually want this mod to work correctly) but since I am supplying the parts to the shop doing the work, they want me to provide everything. I even need to get the shims. Anyone know where to get them?

bump.......
The master install kits comes with the 2 carrier bearings and 2 pinion bearings and the pinion seal in my kit for the TRD third. If you wanted to completely rebuild the rear axle, you need axle seals for the axle and the bearings for the axle shafts. I think there are 4 seals for the axle tube and 2 bearings

I havent had any problems with leaking or anything, but at 127k I figured it would be a good idea to do everything. So, I guess I can go to toyota for the axel bearings and seals. Or do you think it is worth doing?

I got the master install kit and didn't buy the axle seals, yet when i pulled the axle shafts out to get the 3rd member out i ended up tearing the old seals somehow so i'd recomend replacing them anyways because it made a hell of a mess of gear oil inside my drum when it blew.

I think that the axles seals should be replaced but I do not think you need to replace the axle shaft bearings. The axle bearings could last a long time so I would just replace them when they go bad (can be done after gear swap with almost no more effort)
