i lifted mine 3" front and rear and bought 24" shocks fully extended, that means that when they are fully extended from eye hole to eye hole its 2 feet, that set up would work on your truck if thats what you want to do

I'm lifting my Taco 3" in front and 2" in the rear with a shackle. I ordered these today for $31 each, free shipping, but there is a handling fee of $8.

Extended Length (in): 25.99
Collapsed Length (in): 15.39

I have heard both good and bad about these Pro Comp shocks, but I don't care, I'm just going for whatever shock is cheapest because they are just to get me by while I prepare to do an SAS in about a year.

I'm not sure, but they are listed for Tacomas with a 4" lift. I'd rather have more travel than I need and still have full compression, so that's why I bought those shocks. You can look under the other shocks available under a stock height shock search at Summit and they seem to have 3" less travel, about 3" shorter than the Pro Comps.

Yea me too but if you don't know the compressed length of the stock shocks how do you know the ones you bought aren't too long fully compressed. On the same site you found your shock I saw some SkyJacker ones that seemed a little better quality for $5 more each.

Thanks,
TBob

I know because the shocks on Tacoma are never completely compressed running the stock rear leaf springs. The Skyjackers are shorter than the pro comps. Some people with Cornfed's complete lifts say that the shocks he provides aren't long enough for the rear and they limit travel. I also got the shocks for a 4" lift because I plan to go higher later on and I don't want to buy more shocks then.
