I heard that the rear suspension is limited by the travel of the stock shock. Is there a replacement shock that has the same top out length but a longer stroke?

Thanks,

any longer shock will have both. so if you have a 8" travel shock now a new 10" travel shock will "give" you both (typically).

the real issue is where the shock starts from which is due to oem mounting. so a new 10" will most likely bottom out in compression before bump stops do. on the flip side, your leaf extension will be greater.

I put Skyjacker Hydro 7000 rear shocks on my Tacoma, there for 0-3" of lift and I dont have anything done to the rear suspension. There pretty nice and there only 30 bucks a pop.
