I have a Pioneer Head Unit (2yrs old) and no amp or sub at this particular time. However in the mean time I would like to get some decent sound with what I have. Anygood ideas on which and what size speakers to run?

PS. The previous owner must have had an amp... just found Monster cables in the passengers compartment. :D

I don't know about subwoofers with no amp but I have pioneer 6.5" 3Ways in my doors there 220 watt. They are on my pioneer head unit with no amp and sound good. I have a mtx thunder amp in the back under the rear seats in the ex-cab part. Pushing two infinity kappa 10's. It sounds good and doesn't rattle everyone's shit around me.

I have 2 sets of Infinity Reference 5x7 Componets powered by a Logic amp. Sound Awesome.

i had infinity reference 5x7's that i got on ebay for like 50 bucks in my old car and they sounded real nice just off deck power (pioneer deh-p6400). they could have used a little more low end and at high volumes the highs can get a little harsh but overall they were alot of bang for the buck

Just put a set of Pioneer 6 1/2" 180 watts in mine... all in all pretty happy with them, didn't break the bank and they're a thousand times better than the stock (40 watts  )... sound is great of the CD but gettin a lot of static off the FM Radio, I'm thinkin its the antenna and not the speakers though.
