I am wondering what is a lower gear ratio, 1st gear in 4 wheel low or is reverse a lower gear ratio (also in 4 wheel low)?

a lower gear ratio is numerically higher... usually this is based in the automotive world as pertaining to axle ring and pinion ratios

a 3.73 gear ratio is higher than a 4.10 ratio

reverse is usually a lower gear than 1st gear

DUDE, you need to search before getting :flamethro `d

and to answer your question....a lower gear ratio requires
regearing diffs....and a "lower" gear ration requires a "higher"
series "ring & pinion"

"mmmm....k" ***all mister mackey like***

that doesn't asnwer his question dumbass. He's asking if reverse is lower than 1st not "what does a lower gear ratio mean and how do I do it" As we can see from above on the models listed reverse is always lower than 1st.

hey....dumbass....read the "title" of his thread....dumbass.

be around....if people searched-or had
a basic knowledge of wheelin.

Best answer today on this site. It would be alot easier to navigate if others used search. Agree at least 50% or more.
