Especially during cold weather.. there is a sound coming from the back during higher rpm's 2500+. It sounds like a belt is slipping or crickets chirping (only way I know to describe it). Doesn't happen all the time but damn is it annoying hearing that. Happens at all speeds and doesn't matter what gear or whether the clutch is pressed or not.
It sounds almost like a throwout bearing... but that would sound more like it was coming from your foot area, not the back... and it would go away when you pressed in the clutch.
