Are flat top knuckles the best for a sas? If so which ones. I would like to keep the toy bolt pattern if possible. 96 Taco.

Well, you need at least one flat top knuckle on the passenger side if you want to have steering. With two flat top knuckles you can raise the tie rod up above the springs and get it out of the rocks.
