got an 00 reg cab. 3 inch ome lift. 3 inch bl, 37 mtr's, locked f&r, bumpers sliders, budbuilt flatbelly....yadda yadda yadda. Anywho. the double carden joint at the top of the rear driveshaft screams more than a chick in a lexington steele movie. Ive put tons of lube through it, and still, no dice. Im going to just replace it with a used one and see if that helps at all. I know i can use all 4x4 reg cab shafts.....but what about a reg cab prerunner rear shaft? How about an excab shaft since i have the lift on there?

Thanks

Extra cabs dshafts are two piece, so no, I don't think it will work. Why not just replace the ujoints in the CV? The standard toyota ujoint will not work and you cannot get the CV joints from the dealer but here is one that will work - Beck/Arnley: 102-0483. If you end up getting a new dshaft and don't want your old one, let me know.

later!

Just get a longer once peice shaft made, get rid of the carrier baring.
He has a one piece shaft now..No carrier bearing on a std cab..
