i have noticed that when i start my truck i have to give it gas and hold it at 1500 rpms for about 30 seconds or the truck will die. it is like when the weather is cold the high idle to help it warm up faster doesnt work anymore. i have also noticed a white vapor coming from the exhaust. does anybody know what could be wrong.

thanks guys

If the dipstick looks like a milkshake.... headgasket. If the exhaust smells sweet... headgasket. If youre running out of coolent much faster than normal.... headgasket. Other than that.... you may just be seeing the engine warming up in cold weather ie the engine blowing out condensation inside the exhaust from last time you drove it.
