A friend of mine was using his land cruiser to pull a stump with the winch but, he didnt tie off to a tree or anything. That popped the ring gear pretty quick. I think he has 35 mtr's and a arb locker (not sure of the ratio though.)

On my old 90 with the 22re my fron diff stripped like 6 teeth out. I dont think I did it, as I just bought the truck and had a bunch stuff to do to it over several months without driving it. But that had 4.10's and 31's stock. Open too. Just picked a 'new' one up at a salvage yard for 175 bucks with the brackets on it.

A friend of mine (dumb one) had a very similar vehicle except had 33's, 4.10's, and a open and blew out the rear. Probably mall mobbin or tryin to do a burnout (mud tires dont just wear out in 3 months from new at strange rates). This guys grandpa paid to get it re-geared. As in ''fixed' with styock gears. Then almost left all of the shavings inside it if I didn't let him know. PRobably still have some in it. I wonder if they ever put oil back in at least...???
