I replaced my spacer lift with OME 882's today. I know there are too many posts on this but who cares. They are wonderful. They blow away my old setup. Soooo smooth. Look flexy too. Best $ I ever spent. They sit about level with my NWOR rears. I might add a trim packer just for kicks. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

I am getting ready to order some ome front springs, and I can't decide between the 881 or 882.
I have heard that the 881 is better for the 4cyl, but I noticed that you have a 4cyl and the 882.
I am just wondering about how much lift you got from them, and how the ride is?
I have auto hubs, so I am leaning to the 881, but am not sure?

Love to chime in on this one. I am in the market and am trying to decide between the 881's and 882's as well. The way I figure it is that no matter what they will settle, even if you have a stock bumper like I do. Except I have the xtended Cab V6. Have been talking to a guy about the 882's and he raves about them. he has a 1" diff. drop installed too. I am also worried about the CV angle and ball joints, etc. issues, but I have heard nothing but good things about this setup as far as its ride and performance on/off road. The thing is with the 881's is that often times you will get that "rake" look front to back and I think that the 882's will take care of this. WOuld be great to have all those who have either the 881's or the 882's chime in on this one, but either way they are a great setup, at least from what I have heard. Anyone dealing with vibration issues? especially at higher speeds? or any issues with either the 881's or 882's? Thanks.

on the 2.7, if you have ADD your CV boots will appriciate 881s ;) the ball joints and the CV joints can handle the lift that you'll get (over 3") after settling but your boots won't. the "diff-drop" is a waste of time and $25 and does nothing to alleviate boot wear issues. 881s will give you 2" AFTER settling on a 2.7. How fast they drop will depend on how crazy you get on the trail ;)

I ran 882s/N91s (manual hubs) until I got my winch/bumper. they flex like crazy and give a nice ride. Just make sure to beef up the rear to the same degree or your suspension will be unbalanced and ride/handling will suffer.
If you plan on adding a heavy winch/bumper though, don't bother with the OMEs; the can't handle the weight AND maintain much lift.

True, It has been parked in the same spot for over 5 weeks now, but when I get home I am going to drive the living fuck out of it. Maybe even use up a tank or two of gas !

So little time and too many wheels.
