no idea if this is right, it just seems locigal to me, but I think it's so that drivers know who's behind them so they can get out of the way if it's a faster class.

You must've been watching the Gran Turismo category. In the GT category, Yellow headlights are mandetory. I'm not sure why. Safety, or description of race. Not sure. But if you watch a "Prototype" category, the headlights are mandetory to be white.

It all just plays down to what type of car it is, how it's made, engine specs.. etc.

yeah that makes sense to distinguish between classes. Just curious if there was some benifit to it since it used on race cars,,,guess not haha

yellow light apparently does a better job of cutting through all types of night weather ... which i'm guessing is why a lot of fogs are yellowish.

also i have heard of bikes using yellow lights so that cars see them better at night so they don't get t-boned and such.
