Where is the cheapest place order one. I live in Mich. Along with a K&N drop in filter will it give you an extra 5 miles per gallon. This is what I read in a description on Ebay today a guy was selling. Any feedback would be appretiated. Thanks
nice! i got the ss 14" straight through for $100 installed (cut and weld with stock piping too). if i got the muffler on ebay for $60 shipped, i could've gotten the whole thing done for $80 installed but i didn't want to wait for the auction to end.Poopshute said:Hey there,
I just had an 18" Magnaflow installed on my 2000 3.4L Extra Cab. The 18 is nice because it's not obnoxiously loud but yet still has a nice deep tone. I think the one you will need to fit w/out much modifications is the center/offcenter version. I would recommend just cutting off your old muffler and installing the Magnaflow on the stock pipes. Unless you have SC the stock 2.25 piping is just fine. It's really not worth spending the extra money for an entire cat back system. I'm not sure how your stock piping looks like but mine is completely straight from the cat back to the muffler. I had a shop install the magnaflow with a turn down pipe (I like the clean look of not having ONE tail pipe sticking out from the side) for $120 installed (check your local private muffler shops as they will usually charge the lowest but still do an excellent job). I bought the aluminized version because honestly... who's gonna see the shine of the stainless steal under the truck bed? It's not worth spending the extra money for the SS IMHO. Anyways... here's a pic of how my set up looks like (dang.... this is the 3rd time I've posted this pic today!):
