power steering fluid is amber in color.

our tacomas do not use power steering fluid, you should be using atf(automatic transmission fluid). atf is red in color

if you have amber fluid in your ps system, you should flush it out and put atf in its place

Did you ever have the dealer check the system for leaks? They put a yellow color dye in it. Could be that. Had mine checked for leaks and they put a yellow dye in it. System wasn't leaking..but the dye stayed in there. So now my fluid is yellow.

'Ya know, come to think of it, the PO said that he replaced the PS pump a while before I bought it. That must be why it's yellow -- dye to check for leaks. It's flourescent yellow, that makes sense.

Do y'all think I should flush it? Any better way to go about that? What do you recommend?

As far as I know it won't hurt anything by being in there.
