For the guys/gals that are into racing, this past weekend Zanardi who has no legs, drove a F1 BMW Sauber.
New Story on Zanardi and F1

He lost his legs at a race in 2001, and then returned to racing in 2003, he raced a BMW 320i in the WTCC, a Euro Race Series.
One amazing guy.

i saw that on espn. it sux that the BMW team manager won't let him try it out some more. his times were less than 1 second slower than the team driver's time on the track in germany.

I had a how-to race driving book by Zanardi when I was in high school. He used to drive for Acura right?

True about more drive time, but then again the BMW engine stalled.
This also makes me wonder a what if Jeff Gordon had gone into F1 racing...

Stu: I am not sure which car manufactuer he raced for. It most likely been Honda, not Acura.

Here is his website.

When Zanardi was in CART he ran Honda's for Chip Ganassy. Zinardi is such a bad ass driver. Glas to see him get back in cars.
