I've never had that problem but try not putting it in neutral. I have never done that and I don't think it said anything about having to put it in neutral on that goofy door sticker that I took off. Also try engaging it and then driving straight. The only time I've had to turn with the locker is to get it to disengage.

 

No reason to stop and put it in neutral to engage the locker. Try driving in reverse as well if it wont engage driving forwards. You'll know if it's engaged because the inside tire will slip when you turn. Also if you havent done the grey wire mod, it's an easy mod that works.

you dont need the grey wire mod on a prerunner...

 

I'll try to engage it w/o putting in in neutral and maybe try going in reverse too. Thanks for the suggestions.

Okay so I think my rear end locks due to my turning circle increasing drastically when I push the button and the fact that my tires make a lot of noise. However the light on the dash never goes solid. I guess its just messed up. Thanks for all the responses guys.
